When I took my son for his assessment at about 3 years old he stalked into the doctor's room, looked around the room, turned to me and said "So, where's the doctor?". I said, "She's there, sitting behind her desk". Son looked at doctor, looked back at me and said in a pitying tone, "Don't be silly, mummy, ladies can't be doctors!"
As if that wasn't embarrassing enough, when we sat down my son stared at the doctor, leaned forward, pointed at her and said "And....you need a haircut!"
Couldn't get out of there fast enough!

Here's a laugh for you.....a six year old Aspie's perspective on an NT child!
My son and I met my parents this morning for coffee and something to eat. My son was being his usual whirlwind of activity, talking, flapping, moving around when my father said to him, "Look at that boy at the next table, sitting quietly". My son looked over at the other boy, who was sitting sedately and quietly, then turned back to look his Grampa in the eye, shake his head sadly and say, "Yes,...but he can't help it!"
It was so funny! My father was speechless and I've been laughing about it all day!

Lol grizeldatee that reminds me of my 2yo daughter, every time the news report comes on the tv without fail we can hear her little voice, even from the other room, "Ohhhhhhhh I HATE this show!"
DS gets quite concerned about ppl having babies because he saw a birth scene on tv. He keeps going up to new mothers saying "When the baby came out did you scream? I hope you were brave!"
In a shop one day when DS saw a man with quite skinny arms and legs and a big round belly, he started jumping up and down shouting and pointing "Mum, look at that man's tummy!!! MUM!!! He's got a baby in there!!" I was totally mortified, coz the guy was about 5 feet away, pretending not to notice. I felt bad, but you can't blame a kid.. he was quite disappointed when I said there wasn't.
And then at the supermarket he was incredibly stunned to see an older lady who was only about 4ft 6". He jumps, points, and shouts "Dad! She's SHORT!" The lady was really nice she laughed and said "Yes I am aren't I? But I'm still taller than you!" Hehe... he liked that.
