Nit Pick the wording, anything positive that will bring awareness to our government, cure, techniques, ANYTHING positive is a GOOD thing. You choose to use your energy on picking her apart, and I don't. Show your ability to understand this world needs more people like her to step up and make people aware, however and whenever possible. As for your DIAF and GTFO... I am unsure what that means, but I am positive is shows your age and maturity.
Again, nit pick the words. Awareness is a great thing.
Ever think of "cure" meaning awareness to closed minded people? They need to be cured, so YES I do PRAY for a cure. Like it or not. I really don't care.

I'm sorry, no. I do not think that the fact that the Ku Klux Klan raises awareness of racial problems is in their favour either!

Wow, you really are not that bright huh? Comparing KKK to someone trying to make others aware of Autism... wow.

You are closed minded. You love to put words in my mouth. Obviously you are not worthy of a response any further. Good day.
Jenny doesn't seem too bright. But then again, nobody said intelligence was a prerequisite for being a Playboy Playmate. She is now 35, which is kinda old to be making a living off beauty, so she needs something else. (That didn't stop her from having a whole bunch of plastic surgery done, secretly of course. I wonder if at 60 she'll look like some of these other faded stars who have had too much work done.)

I wonder how her son will handle all this once he gets older. The mixed messages will be horrible: "You have a horrible condition, but it's cured, but you're ALSO a Crystal Child!" I hope he's smarter than his mom. I suppose that if Jenny was told that her son was a Pleiadian spirit come to earth to save humanity that she'd believe it. (Believe it or not, lots of parents in the 1970s believed that about their kids. It was an early version of Indigo Children.)

I wonder what else she'd believe. "Jenny, you are the spirit of a chicken returned to the world in human form to save the world's poultry from bird flu! You must crow and cluck three times each day to express your true nature." Jenny is at a party and suddenly..."Cock a doodle doo! Cluck cluck!" "I'm expressing my true nature. Is there anything WRONG with that?"

pezar,

I took my daughter to testing, and as we thought she is autistic. I couldn't love her any more than I do. For those who think I attacked, I apologize. It was not my intent. I am feeling pretty alone in this and scared. Reading Jenny's book was eye opening for me, and that is coming from a Mother of an autistic child, I am sure as time goes on I will understand your views. I still believe Jenny was not trying to "use" her child to gain fame. But that is just my opinion. I won't post anymore so I don't upset anyone further. As for being a troll, I don't know what that is (other than a little green monster) but I can tell you I am not one to my knowing.

Jeff,
Wasn't that an Elton John song?  Big Grin

But she's so spaced out, J-J-J-J-J-Jenny and the Cure
Oh but she's weird and she's pitiful
    Oh Jenny she's really mean
She's got the Playboy boobs, she's on the tube,
She learned it all from lots of Googling, whoa-hoa
    J-J-J-Jenny and the Cure

(Best I could come up with on short notice)  Wink

Thanks to EvilZakkie and gitchel for explaining about the anger.  I find the argument about cures and hate crimes confusing.  I have AS and if there was something to improve or cure some aspects of my AS, then I would take it.  I don't think it would stop me being the person I am but a cure or parts of a cure in my earlier years might have stopped me losing three jobs.

I dunno, maybe I still haven't quite understood such a strong reaction.  I will think and read a bit more.

LOL

Though I have to say, having Googled Jenny, I don't think she has those Playboy quality adornments anymore. I think she had them reworked again, and they're looking a bit like patchwork now.

I can't believe I brought that up. It's 4:00 in the morning. I still need to grab an hour or two of sleep.

Argh. I have that picture stuck in my head now.

Thanks a lot, Bob. I blame you, ya know. ;-)

Jeff,
I like to think of it as taking *responsibility* for that horror, thank you...

Being responsible is *so* important, you know...  Big Grin

ENGLISH LULU Said, "What you've said about a cure, for example, a lot of people will find offensive.   Yes, offered the red pill/blue pill, at some point in the future, some might want to be 'cured', but the vast majority of people on the spectrum on AFF and WrongPlanet don't want to be cured."
I have to say, really I have to.  Why is anyone out there wondering why "people" out there are out to "cure" stuff.  Of course people want to cure stuff - look at the TV - every 60 seconds is another commerical telling people to take a pill, or give money to find a cure for "Whatever"  It is way scarier for me that "regular people" out there are taking all these God knows what chemicals and then they think that they are "normal" and want other people, be they NT or ASD to be just like them - Unnatural, Zombies, with a "buffer" around them, pill popper, avoiders of life.  _sorry if that came out sounding like a tirade, it isn't.  The shame is, I think that what I said is very true (at least in NJ, USA) Life s spinning too fast for people and instead of speaking up for themselves and changing it, tehy are medicating themselves into an even worse stupor.  ANd "they" are going to worry about how much it costs to educate a child ?  Pennies, compared to the costs that will be ago along with the long term health effects / side effects that will no doubt be associated with them - The problem is with the "curebies" of all , brainwashing all TV watchers to cure all,  restless leg syndrome, whatever...- the very health of the next generation is in peril - and the ripples of the side effects that may be associated with all the "Cures" and pills out there are going to be felt for generations to come....
...you seem angry; I suggest taking deep breaths and see if you can't channel some of that into activism.  Yes, money is being wasted.  No, I don't really think autism is not an evolutionary step forward for humanity; just an expression of its diversity.  As for the Finding Nemo comment, actually I thought that was kinda cute and sounded like the kind of thing a kid would say.  Though nothing to cry about.

Also, some of our members are intimidated by huge blocks of text, myself included.  Paragraphs are your friends

You always think you're right too.

Ah, but that's only because I am always right. Wink  I should really put a disclaimer somewhere; maybe in my sig.  Warning: do not even try to argue with this person; he knows all about grammar and semi-colons and paragraphs and stuff.

Anyway, I thought the pictures were pretty funny too.  Try to lighten up a bit, wouldja?

It's weird how she blames vaccines but doesn't take into consideration that she popped out Jim Carrey's Kid.

Marty,
Thankfully, it *wasn't* Jim Carrey's spawn; Jenny's ex-hubby, John Asher, is the father...
