It doesn't mention autism, but it does say that higher levels of fetal testosterone are associated with better visual skills. Out of curiosity how does your index finger compare with your ring finger? Mine are about the same length the same.
My ring fingers are noticeably longer than my index fingers. I have always thought I have higher testosterone levels than most women, which would at least partically account for my relatively masculine behavior and thought patterns (and certain physical characteristics like the finger thing). However, I also think I have higher estrogen levels than most women, which is why I have a very feminine body, have endometriosis, and get migraines.
I think I just have too many horomones in general.
Interesting how no one who's posted yet has longer index fingers.
My ring finger on both hands is very noticeably longer than my index finger. This isn't a kind of abnormality or genetic flaw kinda thing, is it?
No, you've just got a long finger :p
I read up on hormones all the time as, being menopausal, I am on "bioidentical" hormones daily. I take estrogen 24/7 using drops, prog. cream 2 weeks out of the month, and even testosterone. All drops or gels or creams as pills are ineffective in the liver (the liver eliminates too much of it which is what the liver is programmed to do).
Bios are imo the next big health thing- it's just a matter of time. Syl. Stallone recently was quoted as saying testosterone will be avail. over the counter in ten years. I agree with him. Testosterone has actually altered my personality by making me even more assured, confident than most menopausal women are and let me tell you the latter tend to be very forthright usually. I only realized this recently after watching a show on testosterone (this week actually) by National Geographic Explorer.
I only took too much once and got "testy", annoyed with something or someone. It also REALLY jumpstarts your sex drive, at least initially.
Balance is key- I get blood tests twice a year to make sure everything is in balance. I take only the bare minimum to elim the hot flashes and weight gain. When I first went on test. I easily lost 7 lbs because my existing muscles seemed to get a little firmer and I could feel myself gain endurance. I seldom get that 4pm slump anymore where I desperately need coffee or sugar.
Bios are just incredibly anti-aging imo. Progesterone builds bone better than Actonel or any of that other expensive, dangerous stuff for example. On bios you'll even keep your teeth because your jaw bone will be stronger. I could go on and on!
the key with bios is to use them shortly before or after the onset of menopause only- older women can't use them due to the softening effect of estrogen on arteries. Timing is everything with these drugs. Bios are made from the Mexican yam whose chemical composition is identical to a woman's estrogen...
My ring finger on one hand IS longer than my index- I am slightly asymetrical (a sign your mother was under stress while pregnant- My Mom had to move from Japan to Colorado by boat while pregnant- a lot of stress!) that way (both hands differ) and if you are you are often the "explorer" genotype (see Peter D'Abamo's latest book "Diet According to your Genotype" or go to his website). He was the doc who wrote a book on blood types and dieting.
Also a longer ring finger indicates you are an athlete (for women). I AM an athlete (I won a 14 and under tennis city championship years ago) actually so that rings true. I also throw a ball like a guy and run like a guy. I am a good baseball player (hitter), but slow runner in terms of quick starts unfortunately. Men will always be able to outrun women in spurts anyway. But we are good long distance runners.
I've got longer ring fingers on both hands, but the difference is greater on my right hand. Unfortunately, I'm not at all athletic now but used to be a fairly good sprinter as a child.
I am horrible at any sort of athletic activity, except for walking maybe (I can stand/walk for 6+ hours without needing to sit down). My gross motor skills are crap for the most part, however, and that's why I managed to break my foot by hitting it on a chair while I was walking down a hallway.
I am pretty good at shooting hoops from a standing position, playing horseshoe and that type of stuff, but I think that has more to do with good visuo-spatial abilities than anything physical.
I have a longer ring fingers.
My oldest son's ring finger on his right hand is longer, but shorter on the left.
Youngest son's ring fingers are both longer than the index.
None of us are at all athletic but are physically flexible and strong, I can still stand on my hands etc. despite my age.

Guess I'll have to join the long ring finger bunch, now I really want someone to say that's not the case with them.
Is there anyone on here who does not have longer ring fingers?
I cannot tell - which, I suppose, means they must be the same length; but the video doesn't tell how to measure them. It implies one can tell just by glancing at the hand, but doesn't that depend on how the fingers are held?
Your hands look pretty similar to mine in terms of ring-versus-index-finger length.

My ring fingers are noticeably longer than my index fingers particularly on my right hand. So that is supposed to indicate I'm athletic? I'm the most un-athletic, unsporty person I know. I can't run fast, am physically weak with delicate bones and DETEST sports.
