ring finger slightly longer than index finger.
Interesting video.  My son (on spectrum) has a shorter pointer which is the higher dose of testosterone.  That goes for me as well although I'm not on the spectrum. I also get migraines (they run in my family) Very interesting though - I'll have to check out my typical son when he gets home , would be very interesting to see. Smile
I've read a bunch of stuff on autism and high level of testosterone, I found this article. There might be a link.

My typical son has a longer ring finger as does my husband (who also is NT) . I'm not sure what that means but all 4 of us have longer ring fingers and only one of us is on the spectrum.

It doesn't mention autism, but it does say that higher levels of fetal testosterone are associated with better visual skills. Out of curiosity how does your index finger compare with your ring finger? Mine are about the same length the same.

left-hand ringman is slightly longer than pointer, but right ringman matches pointer.  Does this dx aspie rather than autism?Tongue

LOL of my Gosh. My typical son is the same way. Smile I didnt check both my ASD sons hands I was lucky to hold his one hand long enough to look. Tongue He doesnt like his hands being touched for whatever reason .

same length, if anything...then right ring minutely longer, left ring even less so.
My ring finger is longer on the L and even on the R, but I am a pretty good athlete.

I set a record for the standing broad jump at my middle school, ran long distances in track, and was a 2nd degree black belt (retired at 40 undefeated).  I couldn't do things that take too much processing like fast basketball or ball handling in soccer, or team sports in general, but I was fast and had a terrible competitive streak.

I think I succeeded dispite deficits in coordination, body type, skill, etc because I focused all of my attention on winning.  I think they call it poor pragmatic skills nowadaysRolleyes

Your hands look pretty similar to mine in terms of ring-versus-index-finger length.

Natalie,
You've got *much* better nails, though...  Big Grin
