Every time I try changing my avatar, I get the following message:

It's kind of a glitch here...

Upload your avatar to a imageshack/photobucket/image provider and see if it works then.

... Although, it doesn't always work. But I'd never know. *shrugs*

I got that message when I tried to upload pics from my own folders. Once I started uploading from URLs, I've had no problem. Yet. Tongue

Thank you, that is very kind. No, my last dog is sadly missed. She looked like this http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb104...tibbie.jpg . The avi is an internal self image. Smile I am considering getting a dog of the breed in the photo. I don't like being dogless.

From local storage, the error is the same as reported by others (above). From uploaded URL, the error is:

The URL you entered for your avatar does not appear to be valid. Please ensure you enter a valid URL.

At least the stock avatar I have now is a bear.

how do you mean?
easiest way to do that, open the source image in Photoshop/GIMP/Paint, increase its vertical size by a few px, put your text in.

I had just popped over here because I couldn't upload my avatar...so I hosted it on Photobucket.

If using PB...make sure it's the DIRECT LINK TO IMAGE...or else it won't work!!!
