I was able (thru a helping centre of some kind for those who are looking for part time work) to get a job as a custodian, aka houseman at a hotel . The place was decent. If you couldn't find a job, they'd hook you up with people who would take a chance and hire you. Well, that was in 2000, it's now 2007 and I think it's time for me to move on. Let's just say that scraping out the parkade and cleaning urine off the windows in the summertime has lost its charm...as for the don't get it part, here's what I mean...one boss asks everyone "what are you gonna do on fri/on your holidays/on x/on y ?" I know she's trying to make small talk, but...it's not work-related, so MYOFB. I don't really do staff xmas parties either. Our last one was a huge banquet hall, 1500 people, plus $6 for a glass of wine. sorry..no. She also wants to have staff potlucks and the occasional staff tea. She's even said "Oh, I'm just like you" and "there's no difference between back office staff and front office staff, we're just like one happy family" (yeah, the Manson family), and she likes to talk, and talk. The other one is just a pain in the rear.  She rides us all like a pair of wet underwear. I mean, c'mon, I know I'm on social assistance here, but I did get an undergraduate degree before being diagnosed....sorry if I sound melancholy here, but, they don't get it at all....part time jobs are hard to find in Alberta
thanks for reading this

I'm glad they hired you, sorry they're being annoying.
