I pronounced it ee-ou-een.
most people do, the E is quite misleading. It's a Celtic pronounciation, and that has some very complicated rules.
It's fun when people talk to me and twist their tongue around the pronounciation (met none from AFF in real life, (difficult location) but i use it in on MSN too). I don't mind of course.

count me in with the "La-shy-er" people, though not anymore
I've found languages quite fascinating myself. A few years ago I had this phase where I would spend hours collecting information on all the languages in the world. I'd like to learn another language myself (i only know 3 well, and those just because of childhood), but I'm always torn between numerous choices and end up choosing none...
Good luck with your own language. I think Luai Lashire should make it in, I like the way it sounds (especially now that I know how it actually does)

I guess mine is fairly obvious, but it does irk me slightly when people pronounce "taoist" as "TAY-oh-ist" when it should be said as "DOW-ist". But to be fair, I guess it can be tricky if you're not familiar with Taoism.

In the show it's from, the girl who always shouts it pronounces it as "boe-kay kie-rue," more or less.
My real name has been mispronounced counless times as "Shin," "Shine," "Cheyenne" and for some reason, on numerous occasions, "Shannon," when it's just really an alternate spelling of "Shane." ^^;

I sometimes tell people my name in Gaelic - Latharna - to have a giggle over how they struggle to pronounce it
Which is incidentally Lah-har-na.
