Persia was at one point all of the above and other nations.
It originated (before it was an empire) in what is now Turkey, also known as "Asian Minor."

I got an idea for the Persian side, he would be like "Wolf" from Alien vs. Predator: Requiem.

Would this story involve both sides doing 'Prince of Persia'-style starting and stopping time in battles?^_^ I encourage this idea wholeheartedly.

Shamshir, I love the number 1218. Anything that ends in "18" is a good number to me. As for Persia, well, both the Greeks and the Persians were liberators and trouble-makers for the Israelites at various times. Thus, as Guess Who pointed out, it might be rather difficult for me to decide on that one.
Let me see....Well, we could have the whole Maccabean revolution redone. We can have the Israelites, Rome, and Sparta on one side. We can have the Syrian Greeks on the other, but then maybe throw in some other civilizations to take each side. We can rewrite history. You know, maybe have a South American Indian civilization float across in a vessel and tell Thor Heyerdahls' Egyptians to stay put or else! We could have aliens from space get involved. Maybe the Chinese and the Indians gang up with the Celtic Druids against an advancing alliance between Carthage and the Ptolemy's, and then expand their Empires against Persia, Rome and Greece.
We could make a game of civilizations out of this one, like my cousin loves to play...
You know, come to think of it, maybe we should stick with 300 Aspies. It was a good idea!
