Unfortunately my greyhound has had to go and live with a relative as my son does not understand that dogs have feelings and are not objects to torment. Sad

Your dog Dexter is gorgeous Flardox.  Smile
I have lots of pet rats but I lost my photobucket stuff when my computer was fixed so will have to start all over again.

Hi Janet - Well done for winning out over the computer! Big GrinBig GrinBig Grin

What lovely dogs!

The lad with the Rat's Nest Hair is my youngest, known on AFF as White_Shadow_Ninja. Here he and the rats are with my hubby:

Rosie's eyes are looking particularly pink in that piccy! It was haeer pink eyes that gave her the name.

Do you still have those rats Tig?  They're really cute. I think it's kind of cool that you have easy reminder of the time you took the photo in the background there. Smile

I wish I did still have them. Sad

We re-homed them at the end of last year when it looked as if we might have to go back to Ireland in a hurry. Instead we are going to Canberra.

The photos I took while we were there are the only thing that remain of that house! It was demolished last week...

I didn't know you had lived in Ireland.  Ireland is my favourite place.  The people tell the best stories and the countryside is beautiful, albeit cold.

Will you get new rats when you guys move in to your Canberra place?

.... And poor house Sad

We don't actually have a place yet! We are intending to camp, and house-hunt from there!

I would LOVE to get some more rats. I really miss having pets.

That house had been well-loved by the original owners, but then had been bought by a young couple who really only wanted the site. They were renting out to raise the funds to raze the house, and weren't interested in maintenance.

I spent the best part of two years finding a lovely garden under the jungle, only to see it bulldozed!

Even the huge old bottle-brush tree that was always full of parrots is gone. Sad

That's terrible! Those older houses generally have so much character! I'm rather sad about our T & G Clock Tower building being knocked down recently too. It wasn't old enough to get heritage listed. Now a big chunk of our central mall is to be bulldozed to make way for a flash new building. Most of the small shopkeepers wouldn't be able to afford the rents in the new place.
Janet - here is Artemis. He is still a kitty.

I you double click - the photo will enlarge.

Janet - Artemis is very sweet, but quite timid and gentle. He doesn't like to be picked up (yet) - he is not even that keen on being patted. He is always hungry, quite inquisitive, playful and he loves to have fun with Mr Darcy the other cat in the photo. He is very precious.
Here's a couple of my cats Smile

Their names are Mummypuss and Orange.
