I thought there is a post your pic for humans here so why not one for pets?
well this is my dog dexter
he is whippet / labradour lurcher
he is 3 years old and still acts like a puppy!
here are some pictures of him
*note he was 1 when these were taken so he looks slightly different!

Unfortunately my greyhound has had to go and live with a relative as my son does not understand that dogs have feelings and are not objects to torment.
Your dog Dexter is gorgeous Flardox.

I'm sorry to hear that Ethereal
and dexter says thanks for the compliment!

Oh that's okay, my dog is very happy now, and I am relieved that my boy is not in danger of being bitten, less stress all round
Dexter is most welcome

It is always hard to let go of a pet
speaking of dexter he has taken himslef to his bed!! lazy thing!!
I swear he is one of the few "autistic dogs" !! he has a routine he takes himslef to his bed or crashes out on the settee every night at around 9'o clock!!
I have lots of pet rats but I lost my photobucket stuff when my computer was fixed so will have to start all over again.
I have a friend who keeps rats!
despite all the stereotypes about them they are quite cute actually!!
Janet - you need to upload the photo to a website I think there is photobucket or flickr... there are many image hosting sites..
Then right click on the image and go view image, use this code and paste your website in the middle of the two IMG -
My kitty Chase
Your cat is a real cutie.
Bella-your dog has the most soulful eyes!

Did you take those pictures of Jasper? ( the top oneof could win awards, I think!)
Thanks Mahler. Yep I did take them. He is a beautiful dog. The most expressive dog I've ever had - takes after his mother (human mother that is).
Do you have pets Mahler?
Janet - your dogs are adorable the way they are looking up at you.
Jasper is 4 years old actually. He is quite a clever dog actually, so that might account for the wise expression. He's often walking around with a big smile too.
Flardox - Dexter looks like a lovely dog. Mine still acts like a puppy often as well and he's 4. I think some dogs just don't grow out of it.
For the rat people - I have heard rats are good pets. I remember when I wanted a pet, at first I was being persuaded out of getting a dog, so I looked at rats and I found a sweet one, but when I went home to tell my father, he quickly changed his mind about the dog. *grins* That was when I found Jasper down at the Animal Aid. He was one of a bag of pups that was dropped off there... and if they hadn't taken them the owner was just going to dump them. They were gorgous pups too... with blue eyes and fluffy fur.
Do you still have those rats Tig? They're really cute. I think it's kind of cool that you have easy reminder of the time you took the photo in the background there.

I wish I did still have them.
We re-homed them at the end of last year when it looked as if we might have to go back to Ireland in a hurry. Instead we are going to Canberra.
The photos I took while we were there are the only thing that remain of that
house! It was demolished last week...
I didn't know you had lived in Ireland. Ireland is my favourite place. The people tell the best stories and the countryside is beautiful, albeit cold.
Will you get new rats when you guys move in to your Canberra place?
.... And poor house
Beautiful horse luvmycole. That bottom right picture looks like a drawing/painting.
Janet - here is Artemis. He is still a kitty.
Artemis is beautiful Lucie. The name suits him quite well I think.
