OOOOH, I love this! But usually it's me doing the weirding.
One time, me and my friend (we were like ten at the time) were at the water park together when some kid we don't even know comes up to us and declares, "I know you! You flirted with my mama!" and then walks away.
Um... ;/
BUT ONE TIME ONETIMEONETIME me and my friends made some lemonade and pink lemonade and mixed it all together and poured it in a big bowl and dyed it green and put straws in it. And then we put it down on the sidewalk and kneeled down and sucked it through the straws. And then this guy walked by, and we were like, "HI THERE! We're drinking green stuff!!"
It was fun!! >8D
2 days ago I was in town and had just walked out of a shop when a guy walked up to me and said "hey, I've been waiting ten minutes for you" I'd never seen him before in my life.
Okay, maybe i should rephrase the original question. It can be the most recent, or simply the most weird

About that other one Silky said... WTH?? o_____0
LOL, you should've done that... except for that would be disgusting... but it would've been funny... eww.
One time I was at the zoo and this [/color]kid was like, "Hey! Tiger! Look at me! Come on and eat me! Come here!! Hey, what're you ignoring me for?? Stupid tiger. Rejecting free food."

What is wrong with saying black?
^ OOOOOH whoops, that was an accident. ^^' I accidentally clicked on the text color box and then I guess I forgot to delete the code.
Well I did go into work one day (Barnes & Noble) to find a customer climbing the wall. Literally. He was scaling the floor-to-ceiling cookbook display like it was a cliff. Another bookseller and I went over and told him he wasn't allowed to climb the bookshelves. He mumbled something about looking for paper airplanes, and then said "Tin foil doesn't fly and that's a big problem for me usually." Um. Okay.
We ended up having to call the police, actually, because he started going around asking other customers for their phone numbers. When the police took him out he was saying that he didn't mean to hurt his mother and that he left a bomb in a banjo case somewhere. Probably the most interesting morning in that store yet.

Gotta watch out for those banjo bombs. (nods sagely) Though bagpipe bombs might be more of a public service.

I just had to send you a message to tell you that my husband also works at Barnes & Noble! He said that when he worked in the cafe (before his current position there), a guy would come in every day, order coffee, grab a new book, then sit and sniff it (the book)! LOL!
One day, I was walking my dog... This strange lady came up to us, then without asking, grabbed his mouth and kissed him! Normally, this affection wouldn't bother me, but she didn't know him, nor did she have any idea where his mouth had just been!!
But I imagine every veteran retail employee has at least one story like that.
Gad, I guess my only job in retail was uneventful by comparison. Worked in an ice cream shop while I was in college. Some customer called to yell at me that she got the ice cream home that she bought from us for a party and that it was "frozen solid". Yes... she was furious that her tub of ice cream was frozen.
Some customers just amaze me. The other day a woman asked me where we keep the bibles. I took her over to the section and asked her if there was a particular version she was looking for (King James, NIV, etc.) She looked at me like I was a moron and said, "The Christian one."
People are such morons...
I had a lady call me once to ask if I'd take care of her (illegal, I'm sure) wolves... Her instructions? Just throw some meat at them twice a day. I politely declined!
Oh, Lucie1, that's horrible...

Speaking of clothes, we had a woman in our office once who seemed to think that dressing as a character made her that character. For instance, she went to a country music event so she got a cowboy hat and a bandanna round her neck and started acting like the world's biggest expert on/fan of country music, when two days earlier she couldn't give a rats about it.
That sounds like me.
Halloween is my absolute favorite day in the entire year, I spend all year working on my cosume and usually know who I'm going to be two years in advanced. xD Then on Halloween I'll really act out the part. One year I was someone who is really cheerful, people-friendly, and outgoing, and I was trying to stay in-character the whole night. That day I met a boy named Travis. He became friends with my brother. He came over later, when I was back to my normal self, and asked me why I was being so quiet.
I just meant it was sad...
