I got accepted to college! I am so happy! I was very nervous about a lot of things, both the getting in and the cost, but I got a $3,000 award for the first year.
I really like this school because students get a lot of choice in the curriculum, as there are no required classes, and the different programs you sign up for are interdisciplinary, and I won't have to worry about juggling the schedules of five different classes, since it'll all be a part of the same one.
The student body is very active, too, and I hope to bring the issues of autistic rights to the minds of the students there (there are a lot of people interested in activism, and they have a student organization devoted to fighting the -isms of racism, sexism, classism, ableism, and heterosexism, so I definitely want to get active in organizations such as that.
I will compose letters thanking the people who wrote me letters of recommendation, and also to talk to my prior teachers.
The thing I have to work on now is to build my scholarship applications.
