ok now i laugh when Autism Speaks found out how old i was they dropped all charges and said "Just use a differant theme" but i think i'm going to stop running it because part of the deal was that Autism Speaks owns the domain/and hosting for it. i dont want them to have control over a site that is Anti-Autism Speaks.

Even though there's not a suit actually going through, it still may be worthwhile to contact the media. There are many times on local news where they have a brief bit about some absurd lawsuit that was dropped before it ever went to trial.

couple things to say.

1. my boss/partner deleted all source code of ntspeaks
2. if he finds out that i told people about im dead
so...
3. i cant send it to the media
oh and...
4. he got the lawsuit in the mail i didnt (since hes my adult supervisor he gets my mail for websites) so i never saw the document... i talked to the lawyer and thats it.

I don't quite see how that follows...did he delete the source code because he just wanted people to completely forget about it? And if so, why not just host it on somewhere that doesn't have anything to do with him?

I agree with Flardox, the media should be more than sympathetic to you, as its you who has been wronged, and this is a stinker of a story, should it get out.

Judging from the response on Fark, Reddit, Autism Hub, Wrong Planet, etc. I'd say it already has

M, I am inclined to believe it would, although I am no expert on law, particularly foreign law.

Parody is protected AFAIK under one of the american constitutional amendments, that does not stop people TRYING to force people to cease and desist, BUT, it stops them from being able to actually do anything about it legally, the intimidation tactics used against Abscout carried no legal force, at least, that is my understanding of the situation.

The author in question also has to realise that by saying such unkind things on his reply and in his other writings, he is hardly selling NeuroTypicality to us!

I don't want to be 'cured' or 'helped' in the way that he thinks people like me should - especially if there is even the remotest chance I could end up being even a little bit as intolerant as him.

Well, as ridiculous as their whole legal pursuit was, and even though it wasted funds by diverting them to the lawyers, it's not as if the money would've helped autistics anyway, and at least some people outside the immediate autistic community are starting to get why we don't like the operation of this organization.
