Well as I am typing this I am finishing the book Reasonable People. I'm curious to see what the Savarese's stand on Neruodiversity. It was confusing to see if they are for it or against. I think with their stand for FC and better education, they are. But it's hard to understand Ralph Savarese's writting style, he uses buttloads of metaphores. It's confusing but after slogging through the book. I realize that they seem like interesting people.

They have a reading in Wooster OH which I am going to probably go to if I can convince my friend Mr D or Pat.

I am curious to see, what do other people think of DJ and the book. Are they pro or anti-cure or do they even have a side?

this is just my curiousity here
There's more aspects of autistic rights than pro or anti-cure, I sometimes worry that people caught up in whether people are pro or anti-cure will miss other aspects of it.  For instance, Sue Rubin is pro-cure (for some autistic people but not others, she's anti-cure for what she considers Asperger's, and she also hates being really short) but she has also been writing articles against the JRC since longer than most people on here had ever even heard of it.

I've chatted with DJ online a bit, and am on a mailing list with Ralph.  They don't seem to be pro-cure.  When DJ was on CNN someone asked if he thought autism should be treated, and he said "Yes, treated with respect."
I can sorta understand what he means

And they don't seem to be pro-cure either, It' just hard to understand the book thats all. I was hoping you would respond Anbuend, you seem to know more about this that most people here. I guess I am still sorta confused about the book.
I've read the book, but I have really bad reading comprehension for books in general, so I'm not a good person to ask about the content yet.
