The first one looks really beautiful! (well, they all do look good, but the first one looks really... peaceful) I'd love to see more of those!

Did you click the links? You could create your own pictures - each one can take as much time as you like between ten minutes and over an hour, depending on how much you wish to 'tweak' it.
(if the links don't work for any of you, try clicking 'reply' to my thread, and copying-and-pasting the addresses into your browser - sorry if I'm teaching grandmothers to suck eggs!*)
Terragen™ runs brilliantly on my husband's old Mac laptop, I cannot vouch for the PC version.
Now I think that I might see about drawing dragons or other mythical stuff to populate some of the new pictures I am thinking about creating, but I'm not sure which drawing programme is best for that.
*Sonic Boom pointed out that this sounds rude! It merely means "Sorry if I am trying to teach people who already know far more about the subject than I do".
The anagrams are Mucoustawnier = Cure Autism Now & Our Icy Planet = Neurotypical. That is why I made them as unpleasant as i did! As a joke, of course. I think I may have occasionally met some really nice neurotypicals

Yes, I clicked the link, but my dad has put something on the computer so we can't install things without his permission, our old computer crashed of little memory space (is this the right way to say that?), so I'll have to ask him later.

I couldn't have run this on my old PC either. The titles above the first pictures I posted are links to my Photobucket albums where I have put a lot more pictures, like this one:

thats amazing!!
my little brother liked it as well!!!
I downloaded this program as well I have made two so far but i still can't change the colour of the water lol!!
how do you upload them onto photobucket it won't allow me to!

You have to render the picture of your world to screen and then 'save image' as a j-peg (and make sure you add .JPG to the name of the picture) then you should have no trouble up-loading it.
If you click on the water icon in the icon panel, or select the water window from the bar, you can change the colour of the water!
Oh dear.
Did you click the 'update maps' when you had finished?
I only know it works on my mac...

yeah I did click that!!
maybe my computer is a bit too old
maybe I'll have to ask mum and dad to get a new one then !
That's a good plan! I recommend the new little Apple laptops - white, & so cool-looking so that every time anyone needs a computer in a TV program or advert it seems to be an Apple...
I don't really care what type it is as long as it is faster THEN THIS PILE OF SH*T!!! :p
only joking!!
I had a PC.
It had two speeds.
Glacial
and
Geological.
Tigger_the_Wing good idea !!!! And I enjoy your pictures...
Merci beaucoup mon amie! And thank you for telling me about Terragen - I now have a new hobby, thanks to you!
So, you'd need more than oxygen to climb that one!
I don't know if it would work, unless you are using a Mac version too.
You should save the picture as a JPG. Then you can put it on something like photobucket.
I copied your picture into Appleworks and inverted the colours:
Are you using the best quality render?
Oh, how I wish there could have been something like this (let alone affordable computers to run it on) when I was eight years old. Back then, I had my own imaginary planet. I drew maps of it, and also had a history and storyline for it. If only I had kept going with it, I might be a science fiction author today, but other stuff got in the way.
I downloaded the Mac version the other day and, when I have some time for it, I'll be sure to try it out.
