I was referring to the topic-starter. I think she overreacted based on the text she quoted.

If that's true, why would you even want to join a forum like that?

Anyway, my opinion is based only on the words of the orriginal post of this thread, where a single post is quoted as being offensive. My judgement is based entirely on that single post as I am not familiar with the WP forum or anyone's history on that forum.

I can totally relate to this, I posted something that I was really bothered by, and someone responded to me calling me : a **** annoying looser". Then they tried to start a confrontation by telling my business to the entire world. This one member in particular is always on the Haven cursing everyone out for no apparent reason whatsoever. I've been recieving nasty PM's just because I dont agree with the hatefulness she and everyone else is exposing. All the more reason for me never to visit wrongplanet.

I told the forum Founder, Alex NUMEROUS times about the nasty pms, and he does nothing, I never get a response. To this day he never even read my pms about this bully, which I sent in February.

Yeah Matthe, remember those mean people we encountered on WP/ you were there when I was arguing with that nasty bully.

Yeah saft, people on AFF seem to really care about their fellow members. It makes it easier to care about them as well. When someone is mean to you, you find it hard to care about them, like those WP people who said horrendously hurtful comments , yet they banned me for sticking up for mysel. I am actually with you on that.... the mods play favourites. There used to be a mod who actually tried to talk to me, and she actually cared, but she stepped down from moderating, ( and I understand why she probably did it). Those other mods play favorites.

Also, I like how this site blocks out all of the profane language, as WP Does not. I like how organised this site is, I like how there are labels that tell you which ones are administrators. On WP, I did not know how the hell to forward anything to a mod because I did not know WHO was a mod.

For future reference, based on my experience with nasty PM's, I recommend that WP bann PM's for a while.

By the way, those Aspies on WP, make me wonder if they are really Aspie, or a sociopath. Those Aspies on there have quite some NT qualities- they are bullying, the use too much profane language, and they are very manipulative.

Matthe( he used to be on here, now he is unregistered), he and I were friends on WP, then he got really angry at the abuse that took place, so he has not been on there since Februay. He was the one that introduced me to AFF, also, he tried to stand up for me when those idiots tried to spread rumors about me, I felt that they were refusing me simple support because I stood up for myself to that bully. That place is like HS, a memory I do not wish to relive.

This place definently seems smaller, and more intimate. I almost feel close to everyone here.
WP, I failed to realise how utterly gigantic that place is. It is hard to make friends, I only made a few friends, but I resigned from that place. Everyone there did not seem like the typical Aspie. I did not realise that we Aspies had the capacity to be so mean and manipulative until I looked at WP. But I have heard recently that we have a lot of histrionic sociopathic Aspies out there. I never imagined so.

WP may as well be called HS Bully school, after all, Alex doesnt even do his job but rather he plays favourites.

It can be difficult for everyone when moderators play favourites...
To be fair I've not had much experience of the moderators on WP; I don't post there much. But when I did complained recently that a personal PM had been posted against my wishes they did act quickly to remove it.
I would no doubt be largely in agreement with you concerning issues of illegal drugs and discriminatory statements. Bad language online is also a pet hate of mine. I have used it myself...but (in my opinion) there needs to be a specific reason to swear; an expression of frustration or anger perhaps; it shouldn't be done just casually in conversation (but perhaps I'm old fashioned lol)

I have had pm's that were publicly displayed, the mods to this day never removed it. I also hate the way WP condones so much cursing for no reason, the only time I ever use profane language ( and that is on very rare occasion), is when I am truly frustrated, and dont know what else to say, other than that, I dont see why that should be allowed in casualt conversations. I only got along with one mod, and she stepped down form moderating. I had no idea that Aspies used such languages so casually, and I did not know that Aspies condoned such issues such as discrimination, illegal drugs, and sexist statements. I am truly in doubt about the fact that most of them are truly Aspie, some of the members act rather sociopathic.
