Hi, My name is Roxanne - I am a third year Broadcast Journalism student at Nottingham Trent University and i am currently in the process of making a documentary about autism for my dissertation. My documentary is focusing on how autism is mis-represented in society. I have a very close friend who is autistic and i think a 'cure' for her would impair who she is as a person and my friend - hence my reasons for choosing autism as my subject matter.
I know its a very personal subject but i really want a spokesperson from Aspies for Freedom so you can put your point of view across also anyone who would want to take part. The documentary will be put in for awards and i have no problem giving any copyright to Aspies For Freedom for any promotional purposes.

At the moment i am planning to make the documentary for TV - so the interview would be filmed - but if anyone wants to speak to me but doesnt want to be on camera - i can do it for radio to suit you as i understand cameras can make people feel uneasy!
