Autism Speaks has a poll asking autistic adults if they want to be cured:

I'm much less concerned about the poll than I am about their plans to use this:

Looking round the rest of that site, it's damn scary. I will not say this again easily but:

Complete and total fair game, just don't do anything in AFF's name which is illegal.

If you wrote a letter to them I'd add my signature to it Garath.  I don't want Autism Speaks with access to the people who made mapping the human genome possible.  Possibly we should raise this in their forums?  Let them know it might not be humanitarian to help AS?

I should add, for those who may not be familiar with AFF's policy on breaking links to curebie sites to avoid raising their page rank, that the link I posted above was intentionally broken.

Yes, me too.  I won't do something on my own, because I don't trust myself to not just make an ill-informed tit of myself and embarrass the movement, but if someone else wants to start a letter/petition, count me in.
