Exactly, it is very immature and discriminatory. It annoys me when I see it used by anybody over the age of twelve.

It wouldn't acceptable to use a derogatory word for black or gay people as an insult, so why use a derogatory word for brain damaged people as an insult?

I'm sure that if somebody used 'autistic' as an insult certain people on here would be up in arms.

You would Flardox. It is insulting to people with intellectual disabilities.
Prior to 1980's, kids on the spectrum were thought ***. It is a hell of a thing to carry through schooling life.
So agree to the usage and like it all you like, but it is a nasty little position to take.
