-----------
a friend's daughter saw a fairy once, wings and all.

I checked out a book from the library that gave photographic reproductions* (models wore the clothing and makeup) of about 12 fairies the author claimed to have seen firsthand in her travels to known fairy locales like the South Seas and downtown Paris (the fairy there only could be seen when the lilacs first appeared in the spring). Hope was quite taken with that book!

There is one named Willow that apparently only appears from January - March in willow groves in the SE United States. Needless to say I am intrigued.

*the author claimed that real photos would fade quickly- the light was weird and couldn't be captured permanently.

Your fairy is called Bracken Windfilter
She is a bringer of breezes and a weather changer.
She lives where bracken and curling ferns grow.
She is only seen on midsummer's eve.
She dresses in leafy bracken-green. She has lovely lilac butterfly wings.

Hey Ichtms, Gossamer Willowglow has a certain ring to it, don't like the sound of tiny black spiders though!  SmileTongue
