I don't see Spokane as any worse than Dakota or Montana or Madison
Those all strike me as much worse than "Spokane" which, it must be said, has the virtue of originality. Of course, as with any "place" name, there's always the risk of it being adopted by porn actors or, worse yet, soap opera characters.
