Most people (due to work and family commitments) only post on AFF within a set number of hours each day--usually in the evening, in whatever time zone they live.

When I first joined AFF I did so from work and so posted in or around my lunch hour. As a result I because friendly people from Australia and New Zealand (people like Rossco, Tenaciouscj and Nanchang).

Since getting a home computer (and being monitored at work for internet use), I’ve started posting in the evening and have become part of a European group (Ian, the Viking twins-WFM & Emmy, Alectrum etc).

Staying up late into the night I’ve noticed the existence of a third group--‘followers of the bear’…Max the bear, Sarahjoke, batman etc.

There are times when there’s nobody on AFF.

So I was wondering….
Does anyone feel part of a 'Time-zone Clique’?

I think this might be interesting because what ’group’ we belong to affects the timing of our posts and so how we interact with each other.

Perhaps we could come up with cool name for our Time-zone cliques. (if indeed they do actually exist and I'm not imagining the whole thing )

I don't work and sometimes cannot sleep, so I am one of those who could be posting at almost any hour of the day.

I am in the 'insomniac' clique with WfM....

Oh, I forgot about the insomniacs…Yes…there is definitely a post at crazy-o’clock clique.  I’ve been an honorary member myself

I surf a lot during college, as theres nothing worth actually doing in there,
Then again, I surf on here a lot during the evening.

Strictly speaking, atm I'm not insomniac - it is just after 11am here, but to catch up with the majority of posters I usually have to be on here at about 1am my time.

I thought that the meaning was the geographical time zone, and thus who would be likely to be posting at the same time as each other.

However, here I am on at the same time as you, but in a different time-zone. It is 4.20am here which is why I am part of the 'insomniac clique'!

Max, Ziyaret has also turned up on Wrongplanet with some rather questionable video clips.
