Dunno - I get concerned when my mum gets up at 3am and starts ironing...
naaa seriously - it's not a problem and I've been a vamp most of my life - and it's just not a problem until it;s a prob for someone else
*spooky but true* my husband just woke up and said '...it's horrible but never mind....'

I dunno much about ADHD. But this other aspie says she got ADHD seemingly just because she's inattentive and got the diagnosis because she said she felt better after using ADHD meds, I don't know about ADHD meds but I sure am inattentive.

You ADHD guys should come to #adhdchat. I am trying really hard to build up an ADHD community like this one for Aspies but for some reason ADHDers just don't want to join. This place is like a gold mine, though. There are so many people with ADHD AND Asperger's.

When I feel really happy I'm very Hyperactive and I start rushing my life. If I had a friend who is a girl, I would fall in love quickly and ask for a relationship.

ericc: That's not really an ADHD thing but a personality thing.
Also, bursts of hyperactivity last about 1 hour maximum. In bipolar people it is longer but they aren't AS hyperactive.

Hello, I just was thinking of what I have.
I'm an Aspie with a little bit of ADHD and Bipolor.

I am a confusing combination of AS and ADHD. My AS is pretty atypical, to the point where most people can only detect the ADHD I have. I guess it masks the AS traits sometimes.

Really--anytime an Aspie has ADHD, they're "just a cousin" ??
I beg to differ. I say I have full-fledged AS, and yet I think you have more AS than I do. Your interests/abilities are more typical than mine for AS.

Ok well I am pretty Aspie, I guess, but I am self-diagnosed so I don't know. I guess I am still kind of worried that I am not AS. I think I just don't seem very AS because I am REALLY talkative and I am conscious of that.
Either way, though, my ADHD is pretty severe. It is quite funny, actually, because I am the absent minded professor type stereotype.
I think the reason why people are "Aspie with a little bit of ADHD" and not the other way around is because of the community behind Asperger's. ADHD is just a trait, something you have, whereas if you are an Aspie then you are a part of a whole community. I am trying to change this, though, and I would like it if you supported me, batman! You don't have to, it is just that we get along on the forums so it would be nice to talk to you on #adhdchat.

I wonder if that's the bipolar trait of it all? I can too. Before I would freak out and worry about the future. Having no girlfriend, no friends, dieing alone, etc. But I'm doing better now.

I believe that sometimes the eccentricity in AS and the varying activity levels may exhibit shadow symptoms of other tendancies such as OCD, Bipolar-like, ADHD-like {and may be treated as such} though AS is unique in that it is both non-treatable and not an "illness" as such.
