Tony Attwood talks about Aspies having big brains from anecdotal evidence in his latest book.

Hope's brain growth was so rapid as an infant we had to have CAT scan to investigate it. Her Dad's head was large as a child also. My brother who has ADD had a huge head as an infant (my poor mother's first pregnancy unfortunately)..

But it's possible that those genes cause brain overgrowth... I mean, if the brain overgrows, it does that for some reason, and that reason could be genetic.

Has it been proven yet that brain overgrowth causes the developmental delays in autism spectrum conditions?
Um, I thought it was established that it was genetic, I guess I was wrong.

And if it hasn't been established as the cause (genetics), how can they be close to having a pre-natal test?

I'm confused. Biology isn't one of my strong points Smile

Nothing at all has been established for certain about the cause of autism, but there's a huge weight of circumstantial evidence that says it's genetic.
