I'm contemplating getting something to keep some kind of order in daily life. Not as much as to communicate, but it would be great if I could get on IRC channels and write/read on forums when I'm taking a walk or if it is recess at school.
I've never had a cell-phone so I'm kind of clueless. I got the impression that "PDA's" have helped alot of autistic people keeping order in their lives, but my lil sis who happen to have cell-phones believes that you can get pretty much all functions that used to be exclusively in PDA's in cell-phones today. So that makes me uncertain about what to look for.
Things I had hoped for from a device or think of as important would be:
• Calender program that can control notifications in form of sound
- Ability to import from Google Calender
• Ability to read and send E-mails
- Using my already existing G-mail adress.
- E-mail alerts in form of sound
• Ability to use internet
- Cheaply
- Ability to synchronize RSS feeds quickly if it isn't very cheap
- Write posts on forums
Any tips on what I should look for? Or if I should redefine my hopes?
