I would like to introduce you to my son Danny. He is 30 years old, soon to be 31. Danny was a mischievous autistic child, a compulsive runner and hyperactive. Since he was 10 showed an interest in art, being an artists ourselves, we were proud of him, that despite his disability he found an interest. Spending hours colouring, beautiful combination of colors, that we couldn't replicate and we called them 'abstracts'.
As he grew older he started to work in larger and larger paper and people started to recognized, buildings, houses, windows, doors, electrical cables, skies, etc. in his particular way of using colors without lines.
Then, disaster, he was given meds that affected severely his body, arms and legs and his creativity was gone.
Danny is now at home and we are hoping that eventually he would get over the abuse he received at the group home and get over the after effects of the drugs he received to recover control over his arms and legs and his artistic creativity.
Trying to build a bright drug-free future for Danny and other autistics that chose so, his caregiver came up with a petition to be presented to our parliament. Even though we need only 25 Canadians signatures, we want you to know that this request affect many other autistics in other countries. This petition should go international and be presented to other governments as well.
Here is the petition for your consideration:

Thank you, so much!
