Hm, this is odd, suddenly I am unable to connect to the chat room, I was as of two days ago or so, and I have installed no software, and changed no settings since the last known time it worked.
Error message is when connecting to the chatautism server via the native java applet, it connects, or tries to, then displays 'disconnected from ('server name')'
It isn't firewalled off, it doesn't work with it on either.
I'm using windoze xp, and I.E.
It's working fine on my computer...
I have intermittent problems connecting. I have absolutely no idea why it refuses to let me on one day, but is fine the next...
My computer has been going spaz on me of late, now I can't connect to MSN either, supposed problem with the hosts file, yet there are no msn related objects IN the hosts file to block it off.
Gah, **** fuckerd **** *** of a computer, its ******.
To be technical about the matter.
It has a mind of its own, my computer, and I swear, it doesn't want to communicate with me either.
Perhaps its been exposed to all the heavy metal compounds in the time I ran my chem lab up in my room, all that HgCl.......hmm...nah my computer aint bright enough to be autie xD

Any ideas people? i really do not think its me, I have done nothing to change anything at all in the past few days.
Help? people? Its not solely the IRC applet native to AFF, I just tried getting in on mIRC, and it still won't let me connect.
Do I need special software to use the chatroom? I have a big blank box with a small box/red X in it?
Also, completely unrelated but when I first signed on I would get emails when new posts were made and now I do not. I have to click on new posts when I sign on and then fish through to see what threads I posted in. I want to get email notifications and dont know why they stopped working, can anyone help? thanks

When you reply to a thread, tick the "email notification" checkbox below the text box. This will email notify you of new posts in that thread - that way, you only need to get emails you're interested in.

Hm, its happened again, I could access the chatroom a while ago, for quite a while, now its stopped working again.
Gareth, could you check if I am somehow IP banned? I use my mobile to connect and I don't think I have a permanently assigned IP.
