Haha! I love it. I'm one of those who is torn between my love of old technology and my love of new technology! I usually keep the old stuff for fun but move on to the new stuff at the same time, if that makes sense.

Hehe, I collect old Vacuum Cleaners/Electronics of all things, Aspire
I just think the quality is better, the old 70s designs...early predecessors to what we take for granted nowerdays.
To use history I suppose

I agree completely Ian--everything old that I own continues to last and last without breaking down. Everything new has to be replaced once a year if not more often. I think the people that designed and built things had more concern for quality back then. Now it's just about "Let's get this out there as quickly as possible so we can make the money." Blech. The 60's and 70's are "where it's at!"

Oh indeed!
I loved the 70s. So many of you weren't alive then. You missed it. So sad.
(But then again, we didn't have the internet.)

What's wrong with Windows 95? If it works well enough for what you want to do, why does it matter?

I know, I really wish I hadn't missed it! The one thing that I do like is that my family still had all their furniture/carpet/wallpaper from the 70's during my childhood (I was born in 1981) so I at least got to feel that vibe for a little while.
