Does he have anything that he's particularly good at, like a creative hobby, or a particular skill? It could be worth pointing out that some of his positive qualities may be due to him having Aspergers.
Aside from that, I'm not entirely sure. Some people are so down on themselves about social issues that they find it hard to see anything else...
