well I dunno, but believe me the nazis had stuff verging on Science Fiction, during WW2 ;p
the "wonder weapons" the V-1 flying bombs, the V-2 rockets (guided by gyroscopes) the nuclear projects, the Maus Super Heavy Tank (powered by an air cooled engine turning a generator which powered electric motors..only 3 Maus' were ever completed)
I tell ya, the Nazis could have easily won that war if they wern't run by idiots

As I said due to the opening of the Soviet Archives recently we've only scratched the surface of what the USSR got up to in it's 70 year reign.
