You might not read a Christian write this, but.... I love science and answering questions about nature and the universe with observable evidence and testing theories.
Last night's NOVA episode on Dover School Board's decision to read a short brief on intelligent design in science class, and the trial to block it, is a must see!
I believe you can watch the episode online (especially if you have a high speed connection)
Max, I believe teachers can buy episodes at little, less, or no cost (I do not suppose you teach science, but hey, you'd be interested anyway, these folks wanted to teach creationism to kids)
See how the evolution defendants slam-dunked the evidence that nailed intelligent design to creationism!
And then when the scientists won, the SHOCKER about the intelligent design creationist plaintiffs! (Smack my forehead, Max!)
I said to the cat over and over, Chloe, I am a Christian, yes, intelligent design has my gut feeling, but it isn't science, you can't make it fly as science, no more than you can make a man with wngs fly off a bridge
And see how ugly some Christians were. Despite one who said they we are made in the image of God, and despite Jesus never leaving us, Satan is never far away, and if we let him, we can show that primate nature, like a bunch of vicious baboons or chimpanzees, and very scary at that (death threats, slamming doors, unChristian remarks at other Christians).
I didn't like those Christians reported in the episode either. Then again, I wasn't brought up as a Christian, I was an adult convert, fully free will, parents ACLU-oriented (Mom said Dad was more ACLU oriented when she married him)

Dad did blame a drunken motorist for a miscarriage Mom had (Mom actually had four, and didn't blame the driver). It was very unfortunate he was African-American. It was necessary to correct Dad politically as late as 1991.
