Starcraft has to be one of the greatest war strategy games of the world! It is a very balanced, very cool, very moving, and very strategical game. You don't need to have good micro skills to win a game (though it does help)(micro = how well you control a unit), and it is kind of easy to macro (macro = how well you handle building armies, and maintaining economy). It is such a well made game, it doesn't need good graphics to keep you playing!

I was hoping that there were other starcraft players here (hopefully all of you players have SC:BroodWar). Maybe we could meet up on battle.net and do a few comp stomps or top vs bottom games, if you are willing .

So... who plays starcraft?

I have Warcraft III, and my friends played both, and I play WoW.

Warcraft III is to micro based for me, with the heroes and all. You can lose in a matter of two minutes. Starcraft tends to be more of a fast paced macro game, which is more of my style.

It's easier for me to handle the economy and armies with basic math, than to remember what spell does what and what unit escorts what unit best =/
