i don't know about you but high school musical is so cheesy! the singings plastic , everything is so overreacted! in other words

Not to reveal myself as a fan of the movie, ahem... 
But that song is basically making fun of the ones who are singing it--they're telling Troy not to try something different, to stick to what he knows, the status quo, etc. We're supposed to sit there and think that they are total idiots for telling him that, which obviously we do! 
I agree about the acting being plasticy and cheesy, but I'm just happy that the whole "musical" thing is returning to the world, including to the kids. Everything is always so overtly sexual nowadays, it's nice to see something on TV that I can watch with my friends or my parents without being embarrassed about how "personal" things get, if you get my drift.
I don't think I ever would have watched it if my girlfriend wasn't so into it, and into Zac Efron in general, lol... She's always introducing me to stuff that I'd never pay attention to otherwise. So yeah, I'm a High School Musical fan. I promise that's the last you'll hear from me here--don't want to break up your vibe in this thread! lol
