Cool. All I have is the Manga (But it ROCKS!). I actually only need two more volumes to have all the mangas!
A similar situation happened to me. I was looking for a really gripping, engaging anime/manga and then I ran across Love Hina. I was throughly impressed and almost immediately took a liking to it. I wasn't expecting much, but wound up becoming a fanatically-devoted fan.

That's how I am with a few different shows, too (but ESPECIALLY Love Hina).
Naru, Motoko, & Shinobu RULE!

Believe me, even though the Manga is better than the anime, the anime is still worth watching.
Of all the characters, Shinobu is the one I feel has the most in common with me. We're both rather shy and have been through rough times (however, our individual trials are different in several ways). Shinobu is definitely a likeable character due to her cute and pleasant demeanor. Naru is, of course, my favorite (I have a Naru avatar, as you can see). She has qualities I admire such as the ability to speak her mind (about most things, anyway). As for Su, she is HILARIOUS! I like her.
Oh, BTW, I finished my Manga collection last weekend by getting volumes 10 & 11.
