I have had a really aspie-licious fiftieth birthday today Smile, despite the torrential rain. (We had to hide in the garage some of the time!)

Thank you to everyone who encouraged me to customize my t-shirt - several people commented!

And special thanks to Batman55 and sarahjoke for the word and the artwork. Big Grin

After a lovely conversation, one couple, who at first expressed great surprise that I am an Aspie,  have even decided that the husband (a nurse) is probably autistic. Cool

Oh, and I received a lot of necklaces as presents, and put them all on!

Me with the youngest guest (nearly ten months old):

Me and some of the guests:

"Does my bum look big in this?":

Trying to break the camera:

Thank you for the pics...lovely yard you have, perfect for a garden party.  And the T-shirt looks great!  Cool
Thank you everybody!

*Blushes*

I went to our excellent local autism society to buy the t-shirt. When the 'honorary aspie' (according to his badge! Big Grin) in charge of publicity found out that I wanted to wear it at my party, he let me have it for free!

I then trawled through some old posts/internet sites for suitable symbols and printed them onto a transfer sheet to cut up and iron onto the t-shirt.

I now have an 'aspie-licious' t-shirt that I can wear whenever I'm out and about where lots of people will see it. Cool

Given the success, I have decided that I will now decorate some of my plain t-shirts, too! Big Grin

I'm not sure about sweatpant butts, though.....Tongue

D'oh I missed the post. I knew it was this weekend but thought it was today.
Happy belated birthday Tigger.
I think you look very nice.
As a wise woman once said "Aspie women are very tasty.....honk, honk!" I know I am a nasty man. LOL
It looks like it was an awesome day!
Happy birthday Tigger! Smile
Thank you Guardian!
Thank you Pakrat!

Still, it's nice to get compliments....Shy

It was an awesome day! Looking around the guests we realised that, as well as South Australian locals, they came from:
England
Scotland
Ireland
Greece
India
The Philippines
South Africa

We are truly blessed to have so many lovely people to call friends, as it made it less painful missing my lovely family.

My parents stayed up till gone midnight so that they could ring from England to wish me a happy birthday.

My daughter is on holiday in Spain at the moment, but she rang me (on her Irish mobile... I dread to think what it will cost herSad) so that my grandson and I could sing 'Happy Birthday' to each other - he was born on my 44th birthday. He upstaged me by singing 'Happy Birthday' in Irish! Thank you!

Sorry to miss you out of the previous thanks, I was sloooowly typing as you were posting. Sad

I'm starting to fill up here - what a great bunch of people you are on AFF.

Still, I did what I promised and 'advertised' both AFF and 'aspie-licious'!

Thanks for using my "invention," Tigger!  And happy birthday, of course.

(You do realise when I said a "wise woman once said" that I was joking?......I don't really consider that woman wise?) OK all good! LOL

Yes, Rossco - I 'got it'. I'm 50, not 150! Big Grin

I was saying 'bad boy' for a lot of things in your post... Wink

Thank you for the lovely balloons and cake! Big Grin

Wow! That took a great deal of time and effort - thank you!

I am glad that I was able to advertise AFF!

Happy Belated Birthday!!!!

You look great! Gotta love those aspie young looks. Smile  I LOVE that you used the aspie-licious! You know, if you (or anyone else!) wants to print it, I can send you a higher-resolution JPEG, that one was pretty low-res!

Happy Fifty! Looks like a fun party!

Thank you for the compliments! It was a fun party!

Actually, I would very much like a higher-resolution version for 'solo printing' (nothing else on the shirt). I would have bought one from your site, but I don't have a credit card. Could you post a link to it, or would you like me to PM my email address?
