Does the massive limit on posting (time gap of 2 mins! :o), not being able to assign an avatar and all the other lark go when you hit a certain post count, or is it perminent. Its driving me crackers...

the 20 post limit has been ( i think..) set up to 40.
and for those who can touchtype, and do it very well, the limit is extremely restrictive:perhaps removing the cool-down on a case by case basis?
incidentally,it was 90 seconds between posts then, mesa thinks.
I often end up firing of a post in 10-15 seconds when in a conversation type thread, and have 2 tabs open at once with a site, so i think of a response when typing out another one. Needless to say, I am too methodical with posting.
The chatroom doesnt want to work for me, it wont connect.

You are trying to post a message too quickly after posting a previous message. Please wait 18 more seconds.

It might be my uni internet connection, though WP chat seems to work fine with the lightweight client.

Ouch. I'm a spammy thing. Doubt that I can deal.

The reason for this is to deter spammers (we've had MASSIVE problems with spammers and trolls) and make things less fun for them.
Can you remove such limits once you know a member is geniune, or are they global?
Hmm, how about more mods as opposed to these restrictions. I know that these restrictions seemed to have put off people who geniuinely want to post here.
