And I thought, and you'll forgive me "*** it, let's give them some eye contact"

They buckled like sacks of crap.

Anyone would think I was friggin cyclops out of the XMen :p

Is "emo" a putdown for NTs? I enjoy reading the posts from the Brits best I think. I think you'd make a good novelist- your writing is very engaging, the dialogue superb,  and as you Brits say "spot on"! Big Grin

I suppose that's a good early business idea really ;p guarding people, lol.

I seem to intimidate people with my gaze Tongue I was told by a mate of mine (he's gay :3 lol) when I hypothetically asked him if he thought I were attractive, that I wasn't his type but I had a certain look about me..that my gaze went through him, lol.

I tell ya this one guy in town...I can't explain it..his face visibly buckled, talk about avert your eyes the king is in town =p
I, like most NT chaps, refer to anyone who looks/dresses a certain way as Emo...as you can imagine, the people that aren't emo absolutely hate being called such Tongue

I don't no what the situation is your side of the world (Tongue) but I would hazard that "Emo" is mostly used as an insult in the UK and the US.

Damn and blast, it's KNOW not NO! queens english indeed!
Heh, I have a sort of muscular thinness going on, I've been likened to a cross between President Shinra and Rufus Shinra looks/scare factor wise Tongue

Believe me that's the highest compliment someone can give me short of you look sexy Tongue
Not sure who those two are, but i'm the same, pretty thin, but strongly built, its funny, whenever I walk past groups of kids, they always stop and stare, and occasionally ask the same damn question, 'how did you get that metal spike in your lip, and did it hurt?'

Goths, for some reason, seem to scare people.

I don't get it, whats wrong with metal spikes and leather and general evil xD
President Shinra, from FF7

his son, Rufus.

Evil Corporates basically, Lestat Tongue

Well mine is afterall, just a contract cleaning business.

The better stuff comes in the future ;p

Well as i've said, I am very high functioning ;p i'm more or less NT.
It's always amusing, when the evil stare that us Aspies tend to be good at, makes someone run away like a yelping dog with their tail between their legs. I mean it's like some Aspies can stare for a really long time at someone, and that unnerves NTs.

I don't think so.  From what I've gathered, it's an insult that goths use on each other, when they want to call one of their own a whiner.  (Correct me if I'm wrong.  When I once asked two goth co-workers what's an emo, the definition they gave was "a whiney goth".)

It seems the word "emo" has spread beyond just goths in calling one of your own a whiner, and aspies have eagerly adopted this practice.  (e.g. Between two other aspie forums, the users of one accuse the users of the other of being emos.  I didn't mention names but I think y'all know which two sites I'm referring to.  Smile )

' you could stare down at her but i doubt you could stare her down'

The term "Emo" is nothing to do with NT per se, though it is meant to be a sub-genre, or a teenaged fashion  a bit like mods and rockers or punks and goths used to be.

The term "emo" is irrelevant since it doesn't relate to anything such as music, though there are some bands that emos prefer over others.

Some people think that certain rock bands are emo, but in reality, no such music genre exists.

Emos listen to variants of alternative rock and indie and then mistakenly refer to it as "emo".
