WFM-  Yea... I will totally agree with that.   And I see it as a welcome fit and support to my "autie through the ages" theory.   very interesting about the rabbits... aspie rabbits?

I'm glad my theory was well-received... I honestly hadn't realized how difficult it is to put it all out there. (tips hat in EZ's general direction)

I like the city idea... but can't tell you how many times I've wished for an extra hundred million dollars. (sigh)  There are some sustainable hippy/artist communes in Arizona...  we could always just but in...  

The only input I have for an autie community is that I'd miss my NTs... can it be a neuro diverse city that has an emphasis on learning and individuality?

Whoa... this blows my mind, EZ!!  I love the topic of synethesia (who doesn't?!?) and have been noticing that the way I experience certain things are unlike others and synesthethia definitely explains some of it... also some trouble I've had with clients...

I experience colors VERY differently than others. I spoke earlier on this thread about a certain plum and green attraction. Those colors are ELECTRIC when I see them. If I am in a room and someone's wearing that green it literally dances in front of me. (being a bit metaphorical here...) but it becomes the only thing I can see, like those photos of little kids where they cut out all the color except for their eyes or something...

Anyway, because of that and a similar feeling about fonts I have a REALLY hard time giving my client choices and allowing them to choose the wrong option.   I've gotten better at letting go... but to a certain extent I tie the concept to its color and font representation and anything else is VERY wrong and ugly.  Add that to my inability to explain this to people and you get a pretty interesting conversation. ("but this idea IS olive green")  and you see my problem!

So that's a VERY interesting thought process... and a fun way to start my morning!

PS- Lil sis was telling me about a book she's reading in which people during the neolithic era were actually very smart... something about a sculpture that's an accurate representation of the moon...  (Though to be fair we also discussed that relics from hoards of years ago could only represent a very small population of people and not all of them...)

I really like that idea!  But how to do it?  I guess you would have to start at those sorts of organizations and support groups...  but you're likely to attract enough attention to get some sort of momentum.    Good Luck!

I've really enjoyed getting to know my aspie friend out here... we do a lot of fun stuff together and its really enjoyable for both of us. (AKA neither one is ever rooting for a trip to the mall...)  Definitely getting to know other aspies in a social setting is good all around.

Also, I really like the name...

ha ha ha... the thing that bothered me about Hiro is that in addition to time travel he could also jump continents. It seems to me that if you are time traveling you would either stay in the same place and just jump time, or (to be more wierd) you could travel along the lattitude at which you leaped, depending on what time you get there... but this just says I've been bothered by it lately too.

Seems there are two different powers, "time travel" and "thinking yourself to a different place- travel"

But, admittedly, I haven't put that much thought into it, just that it irks me.
