I've some questions regarding chelation as an alternative treatment for autistics.

1. How possible is to get a heavy metal level test from a laboratory unrelated to anything DAN! or Generation Rescue. It often sounds like most of the tests are sent to Laboratorie Philippe Auguste in Paris, France.

2. Regarding Laboratorie Philippe Auguste, do they market alternative treatments for cardiovascular disease? Do they market chelation as an alternative treatment for cardiovascular disease?

3. Have autistics who have received chelation ever had anything specific to their development that is not seen in autistics who have not received chelation?

4. Is it commonly accepted in the medical community that autistics don't excrete heavy metals in the same levels as others do?

I hope I got some interesting answers.

Lolz, I found this thing in the same forum:

Maybe everyone should try chelation.

Good questions, erkolos. I will be surprised if you get any answers.
Something tells me that Dogen3 at the topix forum might have some answers, Dogen3 might believe that chelation is scientifically proven but at least the person have some general knowledge.
Dogen3 has finally answered, he pretty much said my questions were interesting:

is this guy autistic or just suffering from poisonos metals in the body (and stupidity) ?

Probably not autistic, chelation is apparently a popular alternative treatment for other things aswell, including the feel that things could be alittle bit better.

just a question is chelation like a normal injection e.g a shot in the arm or is it pupmed into them liposuction style?

There are different forms of chelation. Oral (with pills) chelation of the DMSA agent which I think is the most common form when it is supposed to treat autism today, intravenous (syringe) chelation with either the DMSA or disoduim EDTA agent - Disodium EDTA doesn't chelate mercury as good as DMSA and have sometimes been mixed up sodium EDTA which has resulted in deaths, creams with chelating agents - chelation agents can however not go through skin because they are water-soluble so the creams don't really chelate and then there is the foot-detoxes which look like foot-baths but I don't know anything specific about them.

all sound nasty and as stupid than ever!
(for curing autism)
wait did you say a foot detox? how is that going to cure autism?

All are based on the idea that it is good to get mercury out of the body.
Wow Erkolos, I didn't know you knew so much about chelation. Smile  Good job!
I just remember stuff I've read, don't use me as a reference cuz I sometimes remember things incorrect.
