19 - as I have said I am a (supposed Nt) though I prefer to think of myslef as a non-spectrum . I thought the questions were goofy. It depends should be a response
I'm most definitely high-functioning (IQ= 137) but I nevertheless had my issues at college. Because high school was so easy to me I never really had any efficient methods of learning, which made it pretty much impossible to succeed at a Graduate level.

Besides that, I also have a very slow learning curve for things such as cooking or driving a car. For other things, however, my learning curve is pretty fast. It really depends on the kind of skills and the method used.
I am not sure what spectrum haven means - I am thinking only those onthe spectrum post here... but I don't know.  I will post only that my son - on the spectrum -
To the point: my son is usually completely shot after attempting or doing math - like you, aliengirl, making himself think with numbers is utterly exhausting for him. (However, he has a math LD).  IF and when he has a choice, he would not do ANY math. (P>S> I think Soduko is like a foreign language=hard)

My NT girlfriend can solve the most complex Sodoku's in less than 15 minutes...... Wink

I'm not that great a Sodoku player myself, but I wouldn't say it's that hard either. It's nothing but applied logics, basically.

When i was a freshman in high school I was told I was "twice gifted"...because I have PDD and specific learning difficulties (mainly in processing and coordination and attention)

I am high functioning in some respects: I go to college, I used to work a bit, I go out by myself sometimes and I'm not really shy of people (just large groups of people)

but in other areas I'm not: I don't remember to eat...I need help cooking and cleaning and have difficulty maintaining relationships along with massive sensory issues.

So I'd consider myself somewhere in the high-middle range generally but I also am visually impaired, have Ehlers-Danlos and Dysautonomia, JRA and various psych issues...which all play a part.

I can live by myself with a PCA (Personal Care Assistant) who comes in during the day...at home my mom assists with anything I may have trouble with.
Oh and i see Gareth hasn't put in an edit button...

I'm also very "intelligent" my IQ is in the 130's or so and I can remember LOTS of factual information and then rattle it off like I"m an encyclopedia.
Yes aliengirl you are very welcome here. It is my fav forum.
