I had an idea recently at school. We are given a diary (one that acts as a calender, not the blank kinds) every year for writing homework down and it has the special days, marked on that date for example the 21st of feb is international mother language day. So i looked through my diary and saw it didn't have Autistic pride day and so i am going to contact the manufacturer to tell them about it and ask them to include them in further diaries.
So my idea is to contact calender and diary manufactures to include Autistic pride day so more people find out about it and to raise awareness.

That's a great idea - the other good one to target would be those "quote of the day" calenders that get handed out in offices...
That is a wonderful idea!
Don't know if you are US, but you might look into contacting your representative as well. I think they can designate all sorts of "official" days through small pieces of personal legislation.
Mom

Hmm, the school I go to is one of BMGF New Tech schools, which means that this is done through Lotus Notes. Cool!
*inserts APD into the list*

Hi, good idea about calender manufacturers.
Regarding representative - I guess perhaps the equivalent would be your MP? Also the All Party Parlimentary Group on Autism might be a good group to contact too.
