Most of my doodles look this way...

(I saw this thread while drawing this one and I'm going to continue it just after I post this! :p)
No art, I just find it very calming

For me, doodling is a sign of frustration. I tend to doodle when I'm on the phone and the conversation isn't going as I'd like. If I just want to end it but can't figure out how to do so politely, I draw being-trapped boxes or escape arrows. Sometimes I find that I go over previous quick strokes, firming them up and drawing short hashes at the ends; this means that I'm trying to cut off digression or firm up a position I've gained. Loops mean I think the talk is going in circles, wavy lines the talk is meandering. Hard little bullets mean I'm trying to make a point and the other guy isn't getting it. Sometimes, I'm trying to put something into context and I look down to see I've sketched elaborate brackets with an open space between. It's all very literal.
Where do you draw the line...
Medium, tools, and execution have nothing to do with it. Doodling is semi-unconcious. Intentions have much to do with that "line". If you don't think it's a doodle, it's probably not.
Yeah, it is hard for my son to keep himself from making a small doodle on his school paper somewhere. He is very good at hiding the doodles/pictures. He hides his signature in pictures too.
I doodle on everything. If there's a pen and something to write on, I can guarantee you I'll be doodling. I tend to draw horse legs, especially the anatomy of the bones/tendons. Apparently it's disturbing to some people, but I like doing it. I'll also color in anything that's closed, like an O or a copied hole, especially if I have a nice pen

I am not artistic - I love art though. The only thing I could ever draw, even still, is horses and some breeds of dogs... I can't even write in block letters LOL.

Parts of horses for me. Anything else I -can't- draw from memory. If you give me a picture, I can copy it so its recognizable...3D things are harder to reproduce. And block letters, forget about it, no way I can make them look decent!
Liked the thread, so I thought do some doodling and post it.
Then I couldn't work out how to get it from my computer to here.
A doodle in paint which I did today.

Wow!
That is lovely!!!
Thanks.
And not a single paint brush was used.

You are talented quickduck. I imagine painting is a peaceful occupation.
Thanks Chamuel...It can be a peaceful occupation; and for me it has to be. If I'm in least bit distraced I can't paint a thing.
I like this thread so I thought I'd resurrect it.

A doodle I did today.

I remember this one fondly. Really nice.
