I've noticed a lot of you really like anime. The question is: Who's your favorite Anime Girl or Girls? And make sure you have a good reason other than the fact that she is sexy-looking (if she's sexy-looking, that is).
I think he means Japanese animation - I think that the Japanese might have a problem with the letter 't' e.g. Pokémon for Pocket Monsters.
I also liked 'Kiki's Delivery Service' and 'Howl's Moving Castle'.
There are many more wonderful films in the 'animé' section of our favourite video rental store.
My kids told me that they prefer, on dvd, to have the sound set to the original Japanese, and have sub-titles. I also found it much better than listening to the dubbed version.

Unfortunately, I don't know enough about all the characters or the names of the various shows to really say. I know of Sailor Moon and all the other planetary girls but they seemed a bit dizzy to me. Elfen Lied is pretty but too violent for me (though she can't help it). I liked the show Azomanga Daioh but can't remember the names of the characters. Looks as if I'd have to ask my anime-loving younger daughter to tell me some of the names when she is in a good mood.

Yeah. You should try to find the comic books. (I got the first six or so in Japanese -- wish I could keep collecting them.) They're even better. And there are at least two short novels out there as well.

Yes. Most were quite similar (with a few small differences) to several of the comic book stories.
They might make more one day. It's still fairly popular in Japan, although not as popular as some other series.

Sakaki from Azumanga Daioh! She reminds me a little bit of myself, except I'm a little more outgoing. I think she's either shy...or has Asperger's. Watch some episode clips or read her character description and I'm sure questions will arise. If she doesn't look AS, who do you think might, huh?
