"That Joke Isn't Funny Anymore"  by the Smiths
At this precise moment in time Paul Banks from Interpol, Jack White from White Stripes and Graham Coxon (ex Blur) are on my It Would not Surprise me If They Were Aspergian list.

So I will nominate

Leif Erikson from Turn On The Bright Lights - Interpol
Forever For Her (Is Over For Me)  from Get Behind Me Satan - White Stripes
Freakin' Out from Happiness In Magazines - Graham Coxon

I love music. I love (what some people call) Indie music. The UK music scene is very stimulating for me at the moment.

(But maybe you will notice that I have picked two US bands, although two members of Interpol were born in England and Jack White has a thing about the UK from time to time)

OK I have to stop now because I could be here all night .....

Yeah, I get a bit of aspie vibe from Graham Coxon.
Not sure about the other two, as I tend to avoid the mainstream music press.

What do you mean by mainstream muisic press?

Also, how do you know about Graham Coxon! I think that is really interesting.

Also the link in your post ..... What is your defination of Black Metal?

If you have the time and the inclination to answer these questions, that would be ..... interesting!

Mainstream Music Press=NME, Smash Hits etc., anything you can easily find in newsagents (at least in the UK)

I know about Graham Coxon because I used to be (and still am, but not as much as I once was) a huge Blur fan, and he covered one of my favourite bands (Mission of Burma), which got me interested in his solo work.

Black Metal is an extreme form of heavy metal, with very distorted guitar, fast drumming and screamed vocals. To most people it just sounds like noise. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_metal is a good resource for information.

Hope that answers your questions, any more: fire away!

Thanks for the response Nought. I am a little familiar with the heavy metal(because a relative of mine is into it a bit), but it turns out that it is Death Metal I have heard.

Graham Coxon is a guitar genius (even though I don't think genius exists ;-] ) and a fascinating (to me, from a distance) man.

Freakin' Out
Nothing to see, nothing to hear
Nothing to be, nothing to fear
Nothing to prove, nothing to say
Nothing to lose, nothing to gain
Nothing to feel, nothing to hate
Nothing is real, it's all too late
What do you do when nothing's wrong?
Ain't got a clue, ain't got no song

Yeah I'm foaming at the mouth
Yeah I'm mad without a doubt
Cus I'm really freakin out
And I goin outa my mind
TV got me goin blind
And I'm really freakin out

Yeah man you think you got it made
Groovin your stink on your fender bass
Got on your aviator shades
Yeah man you're looking really ace
but what the hell you doin here?
Fillin the space between my ears
Why don't you all just disappear
The price of your friendship's way too dear

Nothin to see nothing to hear
Nothin to be, nothing to fear
Nothin to prove, nothing to say
La la la la la la la lay

From His website :

"Whereas his four previous solo records were willfully obscure, the work of a man who seemed to be hiding from his listeners, Magazines is confident, showy even, with a rock energy that almost sounds like his old band used to sound.

"I guess I was more responsible than anyone for the sound of the Blur records," Coxon said. "They were very guitar-driven, and I was kind of like musical director in a way. There were lots of guitars, lots of backing harmonies, stuff like that. Most of the sounds on the albums were made by me. So I'm not ashamed to imagine that there would be similarities between my stuff and the old Blur stuff. It seems quite natural that there would be, actually."

The difference here is that where Blur, even at their best, often sounded studied, Coxon's new record is supremely casual. It's casual enough to drop bitchin', noodly guitar solos (it's probably worth mentioning here that Coxon is one of the most extraordinary rock guitar players alive; even professional Blur-haters bow before him). It's casual enough to rhyme "computer" and "cuter" in a cheeky exaggerated accent. It's casual enough to sound like a kick-*** rock band, when in fact, Coxon plays all the instruments. Best of all, it's casual enough to let the quiet, pretty songs sound open and vulnerable. Happiness in Magazines is obviously the handiwork of someone excited about playing music again."

Well he may be excited about playing music again and I am excited about listening to music again! ACE lol

Put simply, I believe you about as much as I believe family members. Your description sounds a lot like a normie's description of autism. So I would be remiss if it did not set off alarm bells.
Thanks for the explanation Nought :-) You done good.

I went to see Graham Coxon last night. It was a logistical nightmare for me and incredibly, incredibly overstimulating but well worth the effort. He was very good (what a woefully inadequate description that is)  I'm looking forward to the new album.
'Dive In' by Christy Carlson Romano.
I thought:

The Wrong Band by Tori Amos

Take to the Sky by Tori Amos

The Silent Life by Fruit Bats

One by One All Day by The Shins

  (Hello, I'm new.)
"Why Try To Change Me Now," performed by Frank Sinatra.
Green Day- Basket Case (was my song throughout my early teens)
Most of my band's songs (all of our songs are about aspie-related stuff anyway)
Daisy Chainsaw- Everything Is Weird (if Katie Jane Garside isn't in the spectrum, I'll eat my hat)

You mean, "It's good to be Free" I believe. I just heard it live acoustic from Monte Carlo yesterday.

I haven't heard of that one.

Pink Floyd's Learning to Fly is a good one, too.
