Homecoming is when the local football (the kind that's like rugby, not (what we call) soccer) team returns from travelling around, playing other teams. After homecoming, the rest of the games are home games, meaning the team doesn't have to go anywhere to play them.
At least, that's my understanding of it. I couldn'y care less about football, but you pick up a little when you live in a college town where it seems to be the only thing that matters to anyone at all. I swear, it's the only thing normal people talk about. Thankfully I don't go to a normal school, so I get to talk to not-football-obsessed people. Yay, nerds!
Your hair looks nice, soccerfreak! I have to say I'm a little surprised- I always pictured you as the type to show up to homecoming in ripped jeans. But it really does suit you.
