In what way do you believe you are superior, and inferior to others?

For me:

Superior:
I am superior in ethical reasoning

Inferior:
I am inferior in social skills!

I'll try to think of more, I just thought I'd get the thread started! Smile
Superior: I am just like anyone else.

Inferior: I am just like anyone else.
im no better or worse than any one else over all.

in specific areas i cant really think of any thing im better or worse at than others. perhaps i should start makingmental notes of my good and bad points incomparison to others Wink.

This is funny!

It's funny because its true Smile

I'm superior to others because I'm a very interesting young man who's fairly well educated and stuff; I'm inferior to others because in spite of that I was very developmentally delayed as a kid and I still am in some ways.

Desiderata

Go placidly amid the noise and haste,
and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible without surrender
be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
and listen to others,
even the dull and the ignorant;
they too have their story.

Avoid loud and aggressive persons,
they are vexations to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others,
you may become vain and bitter;

for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.

Keep interested in your own career, however humble;
it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs;
for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;
many persons strive for high ideals;
and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself.
Especially, do not feign affection.
Neither be cynical about love;
for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment
it is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years,
gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.
But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline,
be gentle with yourself.

You are a child of the universe,
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore be at peace with God,
whatever you conceive Him to be,
and whatever your labors and aspirations,
in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul.

With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful.
Strive to be happy.

this has a lot of wisdom - I should print it and put somewhere where I can read it everyday.
Thanks of posting it Smile

It was a hit record many, many years ago when Yeti was young. Benny Lebovits wrote this variation:

Deteriorata
(National Lampoon)

Go placidly amidst the noise and waste,
and remember what comfort there may be in owning a piece thereof.

Avoid quiet and passive persons, unless you are in need of sleep.
Rotate your tires.
Speak glowingly of those greater than yourself;
and heed well their advice, even though they be turkeys.

Know what to kiss - and when.

Consider that two wrongs never make a right,
but that three do.
Wherever possible, put people on hold.

Be comforted, that in the face of all aridity and disillusionment,
and despite the changing fortunes of time,
there is always a big future in computer maintenance.

(You are a fluke of the universe.
You have no right to be here.
Whether you can hear it or not,
The universe is laughing behind your back.)

Strive at all times to bend, fold, spindle, and mutilate.
Know yourself. If you need help, call the FBI.
Exercise caution in your daily affairs,
especially with those persons closest to you...
That lemon on your left, for instance.

Be assured that a walk through the seas of most souls
would scarcely get your feet wet.

Fall not in love, therefore,
it will stick to your face.

Gracefully surrender the things of youth:
the birds, clean air, tuna, Taiwan -
and let not the sands of time get in your lunch.

Hire people with hooks.
For a good time, call 606-4311, ask for Ken.
And reflect that whatever misfortune may be your lot,
it could only be worse in Milwaukee.

(You are a fluke of the universe.
You have no right to be here.
Whether you can hear it or not,
The universe is laughing behind your back.)

Therefore, make peace with your god,
whatever you perceive him to be:
hairy thunderer or cosmic muffin.
With all its hopes, dreams, promises, and urban renewal,
the world continues to deteriorate.

GIVE UP!

(You are a fluke of the universe.
You have no right to be here.
Whether you can hear it or not,
The universe is laughing behind your back.)

Has anybody read the "Desperata" - a spoof on this writing? I don't have a copy unfortunately.
I just love being autie, no other way about it, I don't know if I believe in reincarnation, I hope there is, as I am too much the *** minded hanger on to give up and die that easily, but if there is such a thing, I wouldn't ever want to come back as a NT.

The thought just feels, wrong, the way they act, the way they exist, why, oh WHY would anyone want to be NT.

I think I would rather be born one of those big ugly deep-sea fish with teeth where teeth shouldn't be and no eyes than be reborn as an NT, to me, being on the spectrum feels, just right.

Something the curebie twits need to learn about, some genuine autie prideSmile

DESPERATA

Go placidly amid the noise and waste, and remember what peace there may be in apathy. As far as possible be on good terms with all persons and be prepared to surrender your ideals in order to find acceptance from others. Speak your truth clearly; and listen to others. Even the dull and ignorant; they too may be rich and powerful. Do not extend yourself; those who reach out are easily hurt. Accept the life-style you are handed. System-bucking is uneconomic and unwise, considering all you have to look forward to. In an ever-changing world, strive to be the same. Be yourself, whatever that means. Especially avoid affection. No-one likes a sook. Do not distress yourself searching for answers to deep questions of self-examination. Be content with emotional charges from occasional religious activities. Keep your religion, whatever you conceive it to be, separate from your mind. There is comfort to be found in vagueness. Avoid the enthusiastic, their feelings may be contagious. Beyond an occasional discipline, don’t push yourself. Reject kindly the counsel of the aged and experienced. They are well-meaning but things are different these days. Still, humour them - as you too may be old one day. You are a child of the system. No less than a credit card, you have a right to be here. And, whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as your perceptions will allow it. Whatever your labours and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life let not prejudice and fear break down your walls of contentment. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams; selfishness, corruption and self-defeating internal wars, emptiness, disappointment, carelessness and hate, fear, persecution, home-spun comforting philosophy and people, it is still a beautiful contract.

Be carefree; strive to be vapid; pushback when ready

Surely if you've got AS you stay an Aspie? Tongue I would presume the mind stays intact with Reincarnation (even if memories do not)

Now, keep visualizing a CEO type Bill Gates existence with a second home in the south of France, what the hell, it may happen!

I'm trying to get that in me first life, love ;p lol

Ian
Well you can't explain it, can you Tongue
