Now, what if they won? What would happen to us? Would there be some law that all of us had to be cured? If so, I would hide. Hide from my family. Go to a friend's house, and hide. Does this sound something like George Orwell to anyone? Because I'm afraid of that.
Losing is NOT an option.
A law that required us all to be cured isn't likely to happen. What's likely to happen is that technology will(eventually) reach a point where it's actually possible to cure someone,(but not required). However, between stereotypes and "Austism Every Day"-style propoganda, there's likely to be a lot of pressure on parents to get their kids cured.

The sad thing is that parents like me, who group up spectrum but just thought we were "weird," would be the ones doing it to our kids.
It is sad. Coming up soon is a movie at Dartmouth College about a guy diagnosed with AS at 21. I'm going to see it (since I live in the area) and I'll tell you how much propoganda they use
