This fits in very well with a concept I call "Godless World" as seen in Half Life 2, Final Fantasy 7 and Prequels etc ;p

By Godless World I of course mean polluted skies, attractive cities but with a certain seedyness, barrels of nuclear waste in the woods

(this really happened in Russia, people found the barrels..found they gave off heat, so they took them into their homes...they're dead now)
