Ha, slipknot satanic?

Correy Taylor is probably Christian trying to be cool. Slipknot is full of posers.

KoRn isn't satanic. Why would Head (one of their guitarist) quit the band, then move on to Christianity, and then have the band be okay with it, if they were satanic?

No nu-metal band are satanic. They would never be if they tried, unless they stopped playing nu-metal.

If Godsmack are satanic, they really don't show it well in their songs :/. If you can give me a specific song and lyric that proves that they are Satanic, I would be happy to listen.

Behemoth is a great example of a satanist/anti Christian band. Their songs "Christians to the Lions" and "Anti Christian Phenomenon" are some of their satanic songs Tongue.

I hope no one gets the impression that I am Satanic. I am not very fond of Christians, but I do not live for/worship Satan. I live for myself, and I worship nothing.
I thought we were talking about Satanic bands, not Stalinism o.o
I am referring to bands that worship/praise Satan and hate Christians with a passion.

Play one of their songs backwards and it's "Sunshine and Lollipops"

Actually, that is kind of true for one black metal song Tongue

I can't remember what song it was, but if you played it in reverse it would sound like a happy tune instead of a dark and metal tune.

right
so?
OK, but you got a bigger size than me.
Is that satanic?
Or do you take viagra?

It seems though that Slipknot is pretty anti-christian. For example, let me show you some lyrics from the songs 'People=***' and 'The Heretic Anthem'.

'...Contagion: I'm sittin' at the side of Satan...'

'...If you're 555 then I'm 666 (What's it like to be a heretic?)...'

Wouldn't sitting at the side of Satan refer to supporting and carrying out Satan's orders? Isn't 666 the mark of the beast? Isn't a heretic someone who was strayed from what a specific religious doctrine calls the truth (in almost all cases, some sect of Christianity)? It's kind of hard to ignore those. People rarely ever joke around (or try to be cool)by saying that. Those are very serious and scream 'SATANISM!'. Plus, their symbol is essentially almost two pentagrams fused together (and we all iknow the pentagram stands for Satan or something eerily similar).

I am not trying to hurt you Digimodify, but what I going to say is going teach you something. In the entertainment/music business, people will do anything to get known. So your statement "People rarley ever joke around (or try to be cool)by saying that), is invalid when it comes to slipknot. Even if their lyrics ring satanism to you, it is defiantly not Satanic. Slipknot is full of posers.

Here is a picture from Behemoth's, a real satanic/Anti-Christian band, myspace.

It never fails to amuse me Big Grin
And I just found out that Behemoth is Pegan. So now I am wondering if they are really practice satanism, or if they just hate Christians with a hard passion.

They'd have to be just pagan - Satanists are Christian by definition...

Unless you're talking social Satanism - the ones that think society is corrupt, and as society is mostly Christian, they use the concept of Satan as an anti-society thing...

Nah, they don't use Satan as an anti-society thing. I don't know how quite to explain what they think of society or Christians. There are two song's I know of that might help explain what they think about society or Christians. Christians to the Lions is one

(note that the following lyrics are demeaning. So demeaning that they may seem like "shock jock" lyrics. But these are Behemoth's true feelings, for sure)

behold *** son
I am the evil one
no glory to be reached
no more thy slavery
the passion I besieged
spawn terror
smash thy will
ye pale dominion fades away
my will dominates

and watch my star arise
burning up the earth
sun - the eye of gods
threw into the space
watch ye moon eclipse
fallinf from thy grace
watch all nations cry
all feared ov his name
praise the flame!
watch angels falling from the skies
praise the flame!
I killed thy god
my will is done!
thou art lord

rise me! rise me high!
lead thru the gates ov sun
rise me! rise me high!
where angels do not dare to fly
invite to feast ov gods
and let me drift away
leave flames ov infamy
and watch me kiss the stars

As I said I reckon 50 cent and that are satanic Tongue

"
If I can't do well , homey, it can't be done
Now I'ma let the champagne bottle pop
I'ma take it to the top
Fo sho I'ma make it hot, baby
"

Oh yeah, really satanic xD

Do you mean my 'Damn...' or the suggestion that the bible is full of lies?

the latter.

The bible has many things that seem like total crap. The only thing in the bible that actually worked/can work was/is the war strategies Big Grin

And the thing about satanist and Anti-Christians (I just learned that Antichrists is the more proper term) is that they believe that Satan should be the ruler of man, not god. They hate Christians that worship god and Jesus. So anyone that says they are satanist because they hate christians should eat their own crap.

All Hallows Eve/Halloween

How do you explain the fact that the Eastern All Saints', and concomitant All Hallows Eve, has always been in the spring, dated from the Pentecost, in that case?

i always assumed cradle of filth were taking the piss and not actually satanic...i mean, just watch them in interviews, theyre so self depricating and sarcastic it's hilarious ^.^ x
I listen to Slipknot (Duality) and Godsmack (I Stand Alone) on my DC101 (WWDC) playlist.

In college there was an article about bands Christians called Satanic, and I listened to a few of them, and a non-C friend of mine smiled and said I had a seat in Hell.

Certainly I have Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax, Guns N' Roses, Trapt, and Linkin Park.
I also have the more thoughtful Rush, Yes, REM, Van Halen, the whole gamut of 80s hits, most 70s favorites, most stuff from DC 101 (rock from 2000 on), punk and Oi.

Many of them are just jealous about any music that doesn't function to praise Jesus, only makes you feel good.  Others, even more, won't listen to anything but hymns.

I'm not there yet.
