I've been a metal fan for some time now and I've been wandering: which bands are trully satanic? I know just about anything you run across in the Black Metal and Death Metal genres is going to be Satanic, but what about more mainstream groups such as KoRn, Slipknot, and other such groups? I mean, Slipknot's song 'The Heretic Anthem' makes them sound Satanic, but so many websites have said that they aren't. Which bands are satanic and which ones aren't?
PS: I know Godsmack is (not because of the name, either).
I reckon these rappers are pretty Satanic ;p
think about that.
I know Cradle of Filth is satanic. What I'm more concerned about is Slipknot's situation. Are they satanic or just 'fakes' (as in they are not satanic but have been accused of being so).
Rammstein are Stalinist ;p I guess that's similar ;p
I reckon these rappers are pretty Satanic ;p
think about that.
Stalinist? Isn't that a specific type of communism? Well, Stalin was pretty oppressive...
Does being prolific include sending millions of countrymen to Sibiria and to Gulags into their death?
A few bands spring to mind, Slayer, Cumchrist, Dying Fetus, Burzum (theres one of Satan's own, for sure, Varg Vikernes, when he's not recording from jail, seems to enjoy stabbing bandmates and going church-burning as his idea of a good night on the town)
Anaal Nathrakh, a brit band, that I can't really categorise, has their own line in disturbing artwork, evil lyrics, and general misanthropy thats hard to beat for drowning out neighbours, screaming kids, barking dogs and the like.
Opeth, they have a few satanic sounding songs, Demon of the Fall being the one that comes to mind, a damn good song it is too, and some of Fields of the Nephilim's stuff, Last Exit for the Lost, Sumer, Endemoniada, that sort of stuff.
If you like the real arch-goth type satanic stuff, the well-written well thought out stuff, Draconian, Darkwell, Demonia, and Vatican of Sorrows, are some you might check out, in all cases, think mournful sounding, female fronted black metal arch-goth that varies between opera and growling XD
Theres that scandinavian band comes to mind, Dimmu Borgir, black metal, got some quite good riffs in some of their songs.
Play one of their songs backwards and it's "Sunshine and Lollipops"
It's the perfect irony, I like their style.
It seems though that Slipknot is pretty anti-christian. For example, let me show you some lyrics from the songs 'People=***' and 'The Heretic Anthem'.
'...Contagion: I'm sittin' at the side of Satan...'
'...If you're 555 then I'm 666 (What's it like to be a heretic?)...'
Wouldn't sitting at the side of Satan refer to supporting and carrying out Satan's orders? Isn't 666 the mark of the beast? Isn't a heretic someone who was strayed from what a specific religious doctrine calls the truth (in almost all cases, some sect of Christianity)? It's kind of hard to ignore those. People rarely ever joke around (or try to be cool)by saying that. Those are very serious and scream 'SATANISM!'. Plus, their symbol is essentially almost two pentagrams fused together (and we all iknow the pentagram stands for Satan or something eerily similar).
As I said I reckon 50 cent and that are satanic

It's more the glorifying violent crime.
Amen....thing is,i agree with the statement XD
Do you mean my 'Damn...' or the suggestion that the bible is full of lies?
If Godsmack are satanic, they really don't show it well in their songs :/. If you can give me a specific song and lyric that proves that they are Satanic, I would be happy to listen.
My mistake. I found a quote by the lead singer that says they aren't Satanic. Forgive me, I was wrong.
I am not very fond of Christians, but I do not live for/worship Satan. I live for myself, and I worship nothing.
Actually, many satanists live for themselves and worship nothing. They sneer at the satanists who actually believe in the devil as a real entity. For them, as explained by Anton LaVey, Satan is a symbol of perfect personal freedom, not some mystical entity.
